Hi all! I hope you had a great holiday weekend. This year, I wasn't up for all the cooking, clean up and leftovers on Thanksgiving, so my family and I decided to go out to eat. We had a great time, but I think we'll be back to the traditional dinner at home next year. Haha. I also resisted the urge to shop during the frenzy of Black Friday. Not so much out of protest, but because 1. I just had the heating system in my house replaced (Ugh!) and 2. I am saving money to open the Curve Conscious store next year (Yay!) So, I was fine with skipping out on the deals. That doesn't mean I didn't do SOME shopping. Instead of heading out the the crowded malls, I went to a few thrift stores! Goodwill was having their 50% off everything sale and I was able to find 4 beautiful blazers and a dress! Total spent? $14.50 - so basically the cost of lunch for two.

Hey there curve conscious shoppers! This is our first Make Me Over blog post and we're excited to share some of our favorite thrifty and stylish looks with you. We won't pretend that we've been blogging or styling as long as some of our favorite Plus Size Bloggers, but we're interested in showing you how you can shop at consignment, resale and thrift stores and still put together great outfits - on a budget! So in honor of Veterans' Day this week, we decided to put together a few military-inspired looks. Hope you enjoy the three looks we put together and a special thank you to all service men and women who have kept this country and its people safe! #1 Flirty, furry and fun |
