Happy New Year curvy fashionistas! 2016 is already off to a great start. I basically spent NYE and the rest of the weekend working on my 2016 vision board as well as my business plan (I suck at numbers so I gave myself plenty of time to work on it). And I am so excited to be opening Curve Conscious this spring in Philadelphia! There's still a lot to be done in order to get the doors open, so I'll be very focused on that, but will make it a point to keep up with this blog as much as possible. With that said, this is the very first blog post of the year. And it's so gooood!
I have to admit, I wasn't a huge fan of printed coordinated sets when they made a big splash last year. I would would either just go for the top or the pants, but never both! But after purchasing this super cute plaid cropped top from ASOS (pictured below), which happened to have matching pants AND a duster coat, I said "what the heck" and went for it. But only after the pants went on sale...and out of season.* So this is the first time I'm actually getting to wear the set, and you know what? I LOVE IT! Check out a couple of my favorite plain patterned looks and let me know what you think! Are you mad about plaid?
*Whether you're shopping retail or resale. buy items like coats, pants, blazers and dresses out of season while they're at their lowest prices. Chances are they'll still be just as fashionable and trendy by the time you're able to wear it.
